On the Ipod..

Tinchy Stryder Spotlight

This tune is a personal favourite here at D&H. It's the third track on Stryder's Monster album that should have been released as a single. All the same, we at D&H can't get over it and suggest you G.O.O.D people take listen.

Keep support UK Music and talent.

Fresh and New!

Casso Blax Feat. UK Allstars - Clocking My Face Remix

The line up is really random for this song. You have the big mcs such as Double S, Dot Rotten, Black The Ripper, Nu Brand Flexx and Flirta D & then you have some random others spittin' a quick verse... including Blax himself! But we're all for new talent at D&H anyway & Jazzie kills it at the end!

Designer Spotlight: Boxing Kitten

"The inspiration behind Boxing Kitten celebrates the spirit and lives of women who have come before, and the playfulness and vibrancy of each piece captures the women of today and the future..."
And indeed it does! Maya Lake, the creator of Boxing Kitten (pictured above), has a unique approach to fashion and it's link to history... African American history to be precise. Through her peices, Lake intends to portray the image of the struggle of black women in history and modern woman who embrace and understand that.

"If you take the patterns and very feminine silhouettes of women from the Civil Rights and then put those dresses in African inspired prints and fabrics, then you have the Boxing Kitten woman." Lake says of the her clothing.

Everyone from Erykah Badu to Solange Knowles have been seen rocking the one of a kind african-inspired prints. As the label continues to grow in popularity, the 2009 Fall Lookbook has popped up on the net showcasing the label's latest pieces. Modern takes with her staple bold prints, keeps the originality of the pieces, paring brightly coloured socks and tights with combat boots.
